Buhoma community walking safaris
Nkuringo Walking safari
This is another walking safaris Uganda that can either start in Buhoma or Nkuringo. Initially, there was a road that used to connect Buhoma which is in the north and Nkuringo in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park but people misused the road by instead cutting trees, killing gorillas and other forest animals which resulted into closing it down. For those interested in walking safaris Uganda can now walk from either side of the forest following this road. Please note that many prefer walking from Nkuringo to Buhoma due to the fact that the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National park is at a high altitude and as such, you will be slopping instead of climbing. This walk is a guided one and you will have a chance to spot several primates, birds, butterflies and so much more.
