Rwanda commonly known as “The Land of a thousand hills” is located in East Africa. Today we look at Rwanda safari activities and places of interest to tourists. Rwanda was affected by genocide in 1994 but the country has recovered to become one of the most thought after destinations in Africa. With the able leadership of President Paul Kagame, Rwanda has been able to transform itself as one of the best gorilla trekking destination in the world, one of the most peaceful country in Africa and above all, Kigali being voted as the cleanest city in Africa. A combination of the above puts Rwanda at the center point for tourists to visit. Rwanda has several safari and tourist activities that one can choose from. Rwanda safari activities include gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, Golden Monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park, Diane Fossell Grave visit, Chimpanzee trekking, canopy and nature walks in Nyungwe forest, wildlife viewing and game drives in Akagera National Park plus other cultural sites like Butare National Museum, the Kings Palace as well as the genocide museum in Kigali.

Golden monkey trekking is yet one of Rwanda safari activities that interest people to visit Rwanda. Volcanoes National Park is one of the two national parks where Mountain gorillas co-exist with Golden Monkeys in the whole world. Those who visit Volcanoes National park should also try our golden monkey trekking as a Rwanda safari activity. Unlike gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking has no minimum numbers of people allowed to trek them co permits are always available.
