This is the opportunity that you have been waiting for and have prepared very well, paid a lot of money to come to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for your gorilla trekking hike. Remember that you are not alone on this gorilla trekking hike but will be joined by others to make a group of eight. Just like in any family or organization, a certain level of discipline must be observed.

Gorilla trekking hike

After your briefing by your gorilla guide, you will then start on your gorilla trekking hike in the mountains of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which might take from 30 minutes to three quarters of the day. During this hike as you follow or look for the gorillas, Uganda Wildlife Authority has rules and regulations that should be followed by all gorilla trekking tourists on the hike and are always emphasized by the gorilla guide unless otherwise.

Listen to your gorilla guide

You will be assigned a gorilla guide who will be with you through out your gorilla trekking hike. Having briefed you at the beginning, he has to make sure that all tourists follow rules and regulations as set by Uganda Wildlife Authority. These gorilla guides are very conversant with the forest and for any gorilla trek to be successful; all tourists must listen to him. He will always instruct you to follow the trail, when he sees, safari ants, he will tell you. As you approach the gorillas, he will instruct you on how to behave. While with the gorillas, it is very important to follow his instructions keenly.

Respect your fellow hikers

On your gorilla trekking hike, you will have other people who might be older than you, have all sorts of disabilities and behavior. There in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the same cause so make sure you respect each other. When photographing for example, give others a chance so that each of you gets that opportunity to photo or film gorillas. If the group is moving slowly probably due to the fact that you have some one who can not move faster, do not complain after all, your guide knows what to do.
