Advantages of gorilla tourism in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park include creation of employment opportunities in different forms. Direct employment for Uganda Wildlife Authority staff is the most significant. UWA employs many people who in turn invest in other business or looking after their families. This has led to the improvement in the standards of living. Lodges that have been constructed to accommodate tourists also employ many people and also provide market for products such as food, vegetables among others.

Among the advantages of gorilla tourism in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is community development. The community around bwindi Impenetrable National Park has been able to work as porters and also benefit from revenue sharing from UWA. Through this schools, hospitals, road etc have been constructed in and around bwindi.

Advantages of gorilla tourism also include the conservation of the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Through revenues collected, gorilla doctors and other developments, mountain gorillas have been able to increase in numbers thanks to gorilla tourism.
